• A condition characterized by, megaloblasts, and abnormally large red blood cells known as megalocytes or macrocytes.
• Anemia is associated with damaged DNA synthesis in bone marrow progenitor cells leading to dysfunctional erythrocytes or unusually shaped macrocytic. This condition is usually caused by folate or vitamin B12 insufficiency.
• A condition characterized by abnormally large erythrocytes in the bone marrow is know as megaloblasts. This condition is generally caused by a deficiency of folate or vitamin B12, while other
  causes comprise drugs and toxins.
